    BANGALORE:
The 16th International Granite and Stone Fair, STONA 2025, came to a close today, marking a successful four-day event that brought together industry professionals, artisans, and enthusiasts from around the world.

The valedictory function was highlighted by the felicitation of renowned Mysuru sculptor, Arun Yogiraj, who sculpted the idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. FIGSI also conferred an honorary membership of the Federation to Arun Yogiraj to welcome him to the stone fraternity of India.

“Arun’s creation is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry that India has to offer,” said Mr. Krishna Prasad, President, Federation of Indian Granite & Stone Industry (FIGSI). “For decades, STONA has been a platform to encourage and showcase the work of talented artisans like Arun Yogiraj, and we’re proud to have him as part of our community.”

“I am deeply humbled and honored to be felicitated at STONA 2025,” said Arun Yogiraj. “Natural stone sculptures are not just creations, but a way to preserve our cultural heritage and showcase the beauty of Indian craftsmanship. I am grateful to FIGSI for providing a platform to promote and celebrate the art of natural stone sculpting,” he added.

Arun Yogiraj also gave away awards on behalf of FIGSI to awardees in different categories.

The event also featured the Shilpagram stalls, which showcased the work of talented artisans and craftsmen from across India. The stalls drew huge crowds, highlighting the interest and appreciation for handmade crafts and natural stone products.
