IIM Kozhikode Closes its Final Placements for the Batch of 2016 – 18

IIM Kozhikode has continued to exceed the expectations of students and recruiters. We have been able to raise the bar for placements this year, by completing the final placements with an average salary of 17.76 LPA with a highest international salary of 52 LPA.
This year had 382 students in the graduating batch of 2018 out of whom 367 secured 384 offers from major recruiters such as Arthur D. Little, BCG, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, McKinsey, PwC among others participating in the placements drive. 11 students opted to sign out of the placements process while 4 students remained unplaced.
The campus witnessed 178 companies participate in the placements process, a whopping 58% increase from the 2017 placements season. 75+ first time recruiters such as Arthur D. Little, Avendus Capital, Axis Securities, Bharat Forge, Britannia, Casio, Crompton Greaves, GMR Group, Madhura Coats, Optum – UHG, Reckitt Benckiser, RBL Bank, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Standard Chartered-IGP, Think & Learn, Ujjivan, Value Labs and many more participated in the 2018 placements process.
The season witnessed an increase in the number of Finance profiles on offer with major companies such as American Express, Axis Bank, Bank of America, Citibank, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase, Standard Chartered making offers to 16% of the candidates. Diverse roles in Consulting domain were offered to 26% of the batch by the Boston Consulting Group, Cedar Consulting, Cognizant Business Consulting, Deloitte, EY, IMC, KPMG and PwC etc.
Sales and Marketing roles in the campus continued to flourish with major brands such as 3M, Asian Paints, Bharat Petroleum, Godrej, GSK, HUL, Indian Oil, ITC, Kohler, Pidilite, and Vodafone participating and offering roles to 25% of the total pool of talent from the campus.
Some major recruiters such as Aditya Birla Group, Airtel, Bosch, Mahindra Group, Reliance Industries, RPG Group, Tata Administrative Services, Tata Communications offered roles in the General Management profile. While the Operations role witnessed participation from well-known recruiters such as Amazon, Asian Paints, Cipla, Shell etc., other recruiters such as Aspect Ratio, Capgemini, Citi, EXL Services, HCL, Microland, Microsoft, Sapient Razorfish, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro recruited from the campus for their IT and Analytics role.
IIM Kozhikode has yet again kept up to its standards of academic excellence and its vision of globalizing Indian thought. This has been possible because of the extraordinary efforts of the students in winning many accolades like the prestigious Reckitt Benckiser Maveriks, KPMG International Case Competition and Amazon Ace.
The Placements team continues to offer support to the four unplaced students to find roles that suit their aspirations.
