3D Projection Mapping brings solid surfaces like faces of large buildings to life with dynamic and visually stunning animation and effects. As the curtain raiser a cut out of human face will be used as a backdrop for the 3D projection and the six-minute show will narrate the legacy and significance of the festival’s Mela’s mascot, Indra– the Peregrine Falcon.
The laser act will be a unique fusion of lights, lasers, magic and music for an exhilarating live entertainment experience. And the ultraviolet light (black light) show will have a performer creating artwork through trails left by fluorescent props in motion.
There will be performances of visually stunning fire dance as well as Tanoura, an Egyptian folk dance and Salsa, the popular Latin American social dance. Tanoura, which derives its name from the colorful skirt worn by the dancers, references the relationship of land and the sky, man and God, and will bring a rare experience for audiences in Kerala.
Sand animation, achieved through manipulation of sand will elaborate on the theme of the event — skilling in Kerala. The grand finale of the India Skills Kerala 2018 comes after grueling rounds of district and zonal competitions. Two participants from each trade were selected following the zonal competitions in Thiruvananthapuram, Chalakkudy and Kozhikode.
