Going ahead with its expansion plan across the country, HLL Lifecare Ltd (HLL) will open a HINDLABS MRI Scan Centre, which provides imaging services at hugely discounted rates for the benefit of poor and needy patients, in Odisha tomorrow.
The HINDLABS centre, the first in Odisha and the 12th across the country, is located at VS
HLL, a ‘Mini Ratna’ PSU of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, plans to open more such centres across Odisha in association with the state government to save the poor and needy patients in the interior districts from the fleecing private operators.
HINDLABS, the healthcare service brand of HLL, is rapidly increasing its presence all over India by offering high quality imaging services and diagnostic facilities at affordable rates.
“The MRI centre at Burla will cater to the health needs of people in western Odisha and parts of southern Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand,” said R P Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director of HLL. “Equipped with a state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla MRI scan facility, it will bring the advanced diagnostic services to the people at rates vastly lower than private facilities,” he added.
Besides the patients, it will be highly beneficial to the medical students for academic and training purposes.
Khandelwal thanked Odisha Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak for his leadership and proactive efforts for the successful completion of the MRI project at Burla.
The Healthcare Services Division of HLL has launched HINDLABS as a market intervention initiative to bring down the costs in the unorganised diagnostic facility sector. HINDLABS uses state-of-the-art technology to provide comprehensive and advanced imaging services, which comply with National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) standards.
