  • Schools in Kerala Can Now Start with LEAD School@Home

By NE Reporter on May 21, 2020

    KOCHI:
With the nationwide lockdown being extended consecutively, the Indian education system is going through a phase of uncertainty.

This is leading to apprehension among students and their parents that they may lose a year if schools do not reopen on time. Coming to the rescue of students, LEAD School is offering its LEAD School@Home solution to all English medium schools around the country to help them start their new academic year in June 2020.

With its launch in Kerala, LEAD School will be collaborating with school owners, principals and teachers to help students attend school from the safety of their home. LEAD School@Home includes live online classes from Day 1 based on a structured curriculum, daily schedule, homework and answer keys. All classes are based on books provided by LEAD School that are based on National Curriculum Framework. This programme is likely to benefit around 9.5 lakh students across 3,300 schools in Kerala.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the LEAD School@Home programme is a high quality online school and not just supplementary courses that other education platforms are offering. Students get a true @Home experience of attending school and not just some videos or files. For schools wanting to join the LEAD School@Home program, call 8682833333 or visit https://leadschool.in/homepage.html

LEAD School@Home is also open to any child across India. Parents can register their child after downloading the LEAD Parent App from
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leadschool.parentapp registering on the app using the school code ‘LS-1092-L-400093’.

Sumeet Mehta, Co-founder and CEO, LEAD School, “COVID-19 has resulted in the closure of schools in nearly 186 countries, including India and more than 1.2 billion children are sitting at home. There are 250 million students that go to schools in India, and many of them yet do not have access to online school. Lack of organised online classes, low tech-savviness among their parents, absence of structured curriculum as well as student assessments are some of the challenges faced by schools in the new system of learning during these times. The wholesome learning experience provided to students by LEAD School@Home programme is helping schools stay engaged with students. I am confident that this integrated learning system will benefit all stakeholders — and none more than the students who need it right now”.

With LEAD School@Home, students can attend classes from the safety of their home, through their parents’ phone or computer. Students from Class 1 to Class 9 can attend these classes. Even pre- primary parents can avail of LEAD School@Home to keep their toddlers engaged and learning.

Till date, LEAD School has catered to over 3 lakh students in 800+ affordable private schools across cities and Tier 2, 3 and 4 towns and the programme has received around 1 crore video views.
