Trivandrum Division of Southern Railway has conducted special ticket checking drive to detect ticketless travelers. 702 cases were detected during the last seven days which includes 631 cases of ticketless travel, 33 c

A special antifraud squad has been constituted to intensify the checks on ticketless travel, anti-tout activities and allotment of berths by working TTEs in trains. The antifraud squad involve senior ticket checking staff including lady TTEs and Commercial Inspectors. During the check on 21.11.16, a boy aged 14 years, ran away from home at Gulbarga was rescued and handed over to Childline duly tracing the parents of the boy and intimating them. In the last three months, five cases of children fleeing from home were rescued by the squad. Passengers are requested to call toll free helpline number 138 or 182 to get the help of the squad in case of suspicious activities or complaints about services.
