

DUBAI:
Dubai court has ordered a compensation of Six lakh Dirhams (Rs 1.20 crore) for an accident victim at Dubai, Rijas Muhammed Kunji, 41, hailing from Alappuzha district in Kerala.
The court ordered the compensation after one year of legal battle. The accident occured on January 12, 2020. The traffic criminal court has orderd to remit a fine of 5,000 dirhams to the driver of the other vehicle which collided with the vehicle of Rijas Muhemmed Kunji.
The relatives of Rijas Muhammed Kunji, who was injured in the accident, approched the legal representative at UAE Salam Pappinissery for getting the compensation. A civil case was registered at the Dubai court against the insurance company and the driver with all the documents.
The legal representative of the insurance company argued that the medical report during the accident was not submitted and hence compensation cannot be provided. However, the court observed that the negligence of the opposite vehicle driver led to the accident and Rjais Muahmmed Kuni is eligible for compensation.
