  • KIMSHEALTH Distributes 100 Plus Electronic Tablets to School Students

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    Extending critical support to students from low-income families, KIMSHEALTH has distributed electronic tablets to over 100 students from various schools of Perumathura in the district, as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the multi-speciality hospital group.

    Education Minister V Sivankutty inaugurated the initiative in a function at Madanvila SIUP School.

    Speaking on the occasion, V Sivankutty said that while electronic gadgets like mobile phones have become essential learning tools but parents should guide their children against misuse of such devices.

    KIMSHEALTH has set a laudable example in spending its CSR funds for projects to support the education of children from low-income families, the Minister added.

    The distribution of electronic tablets to the students was envisaged under the Chief Minister’s “Vidya Kiran” educational aid project, said KIMSHEALTHChairman and Managing Director Dr M I Sahadulla.

    The CSR wing of KIMSHEALTH has chosen my native village Perumathura, a coastal hamlet, as part of the project,” Dr Sahadulla added.

    The scheme has been implemented with the co-operation of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The project was formulated by a team led by Reshmi Aysha, COO of KIMSHEALTH and Member CSR Committee, CII.

    The tablet distribution programme was supported by Perumathura Snehatheeram Charitable Trust, of which KIMSHEALTH Executive Director E M Najeeb is the President.

    V Sasi MLA delivered the keynote address at the function. Azhoor Village Panchayat President R Anil, Panchayat Members Shajahan, Sajeena Ameen, B Kabeer, Ansil Ansari, Abdul Wahid, Snehatheeram General Secretary S Sakeer Husain and Thiruvananthapuram Muslim Association President NazarKadayara were also present.
