THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Acsia Technologies, a premier automotive software solution and research company based out of Technopark, Trivandrum, in association with Kerala Technological University (KTU), announced the launch of a one-of-a-kind “placement drive exclusively for differently-abled final year students”. Dr.Ciza Thomas, Vice Chancellor of KTU, launched the placement drive in a function held at Mar Baselios College of Engineering.
“I think it is important that we take steps to understand and find common ground with persons with disabilities. It is heartening to see opportunities being created for this special group of students, and how academia and industry are working together to create a more inclusive society. “said Dr. Ciza Thomas, Vice Chancellor of KTU, in her Inaugural address launching the event.
“Acsia has always had an inclusive work culture and would encourage other companies to do the same. We believe that every candidate is unique, with different strengths and weaknesses. We have set forth this mission to give equal opportunity and motivate them to be part of the automotive industry.” Said Jijimon Chandran, Founder & CEO – Acsia Technologies.
This first of its kind initiative is being facilitated by Industry Attachment Cell at KTU. This placement drive, exclusively meant for differently abled students in their final year of engineering, will provide the right platform for them to work in the leading automotive software company.
Having their beliefs strongly uprooted in inclusive work culture, Acsia values selecting candidates based on their talents and skills and provides access to all, irrespective of the identity of a person. With differently abled technicians already employed in their workforce, Acsia hopes to create equal and fair opportunities in the field of technology.
Differently abled students, who are currently doing their final year in B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA in any of the KTU colleges can participate in the drive.
Dignitaries who attended the function include Jijimon Chandran, Founder and CEO , Acsia Technologies, Dr. Suja K Kunnath, Principal, Academic Programs, NISH, Rev. Fr.
