  • Goa Institute of Management Brings Back Inception 2017

    PANAJI:
    This weekend promises anentertaining fiesta as Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will host a magical musical evening, Inception 2017 at their college campus in Sanquelim. Inception 2017 has received participation from colleges across the country. Started in 2011 as a fun filled evening, Inception has grown in stature ovegimr 6 years of its existence and attracted exceptional music talent and established itself as an annual musical summit.
    Inception will witness a stand-up comedy act by the latest heartthrob in tinsel town to make the night go from better to the best. The talented Goan lad Daniel Fernandes, currently based in Mumbai will be performingat GIM for the very first time. Fernandes is notorious for his dark and surreal style of comedy, with references to social issues in India. He has hosted the Forbes India’s entrepreneurial awards event in 2015 while he has also collaborated with several eminent Indian stand-up comedians including Aditi Mittal, Gursimran Khamba, Abish Mathew, Sundeep Rao, Kanan Gill, BiswaKalyanRath and Radhika Vaz. He will showcase his rib-tickling humour on Indian social issues such as free speech, death penalty, student suicide, marital rape and a host of other topics.
    Inception will have one of India’s most versatile musicians playing at the campus to spice up the event. Elvis Lobo, a guitarist and composer who hails from Goa will make the crowd groove to his enthralling Blues, Jazz and Funk music.
    The 7 th edition of Inception will also witness some of the top bands, dancers, singers and photographers from colleges across the country battle it out to take home the winner’s title and a handsome cash prize. Keeping true to its purpose, Inception 2017 will also provide a platform for the students of GIM and other colleges to reveal the untold story of their lives through lyrics and musicwhere the perfectness of their pitch will be displayed in front of a packed amphitheatre.
    Having always been one of its most popular events, the solo singing
    competition at Inception 2017 is expected to throw up lots of competition as the participants clash for the title.
    Having been full of frolic great dancers together will show their moves, feel the beats and dance like nobody’s watching at the group dance competition. Budding photographers will get a chance to
    showcase their intelligent skills through many exposures. Individual brilliance, elegance and chemistry will be seen through the best moves on stage at the solo/duet dance competition. The most awaited,magnificent, breath-taking and awe-inspiring event of the evening,Inception’s top draw during the 2 days will feel the ripples throughout leaving the audience spellbound simultaneously raising the bar at the war of the bands competition.
