KOCHI:
Investment prospects in a range of enterprises driven by futuristic technologies are expected to receive a boost at the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS 2025), scheduled for February 21-22 in Kochi.
The summit will showcase before business leaders Kerala’s strategic advantages in emerging technologies like GenAI, Robotics, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and LLM, which have been identified as priority areas in the state government’s New Industrial Policy.
A series of GenAI and Robotics conclaves that the government held in Kochi last year had attracted a lot of attention. Convinced by efficacy of the ecosystem, IBM opened its GenAI Innovation Center at Kochi Infopark, generating 1,500 jobs when the initial intention was just 300.
According to Industries Minister P Rajeeve, an increased confidence among the investors in the ecosystem is visible.
“Since GenAI-Robotics is on our priority, the government’s full support will add to investor confidence,” he pointed out. “The sector should move forward by taking into account the large investment community as well as wealthy expatriate investors.”
“The government’s support to this sector is the biggest guarantee for investors,” the Minister said ahead of the summit being organised by the KSIDC on behalf of the Department of Industries & Commerce.
Also, the state is poised to start its first robotics park in Thrissur, he pointed out.
The IKGS will see global experts holding panel discussions on topics such as the “IT sector and Kerala’s opportunities”, “IT infrastructure for industrial growth”, “Innovating Future Transforming Electronics Systems and Engineering”, and “Future Talent”.
Already, the state has made several promising initiatives in areas such as Gen AI, Robotics, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and LLM.
Union and state ministers, top government officials, entrepreneurs and global business leaders, will participate in IKGS at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre.
The event features 22 sector-specific sessions and 6 interactions for collaborations with partner countries. With 2,500 delegates and more than 100 exhibitors, the conclave will also host an exhibition of handicrafts and traditional products.
