MUMBAI:
Bandicoot, the world’s first robotic manhole-cleaning robot developed by Genrobotics, became the centrepiece of attention at the “Tech Wari: Maharashtra Tech Learning Week” showcasing digital governance at Mantralaya in Mumbai this week.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited the Bandicoot exhibition stall, took a live walkthrough of its operation, and congratulated the team for developing a solution that not only saves lives but also restores dignity to sanitation workers.
“Saving people from deadly manhole accidents is what we must focus on. The Bandicoot robot is doing exactly that – replacing hazardous manual cleaning with safe technology,” the Chief Minister commented, lauding the team’s commitment to social impact.
Developed by Genrobotics – a National Award winning startup and one of the top three AI startups recognised by MeitY – Bandicoot represents India’s commitment to using advanced robotics for meaningful social transformation.
