

DUBAI:
Dubai court has ordered a compensation of 20 lakh dirhams (RS 4 crore) to Vinu Abraham Thomas, a native of Alappuzha district who met with in a road accident.
The court order favoured Vinu Abraham after one-and-a-half years of legal battle. The accident occurred on November 9, 2019 at Al Ain Road. The court observed that the accident was due to the negligence of the driver of another vehicle.
Vinu Abraham was seriously injured in the accident and he approached legal representative and social worker Salam Pappinissery through his relatives. Following his advice, a case was registered with Insurance Authority and the driver of the vehicle.
The case was registered with strong evidence and the Insurance Authority came to the conclusion that Vinu Abraham was injured due to the negligence of the driver of another vehicle and hence he is eligible for compensation.
Though the Insurance Company approached the Civil Court against the compensation, the Court too had ordered to provide the compensation.
