KOCHI:
Tattwa celebrated its first Annual day on Wednesday, the 16th August, 2017 with great enthusiasm and enjoyment at the Womens Association Hall, Ernakulam.
Soumini Jain, Mayor of Kochi was the Chief guest of the evening. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief guest and other dignitaries on the dais. The Mayor remarked on the need for a stress free education for children while addressing the gathering.
‘Success of a student should not be merely measured by academic excellence but also looking into his non- academic skills which would bring him to the limelight,”she said. According to her, schools like Tattwa served a much needed purpose today.
The Annual report was read out by Maya Mohan. This was followed by a scintillating cultural programme by the students of Tattwa. Using the platform of National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Tattwa was begun a year ago under the guidance and leadership of eminent educationists like Maya Mohan and Dr Shailaja Menon(Managing Directors), Kamakshi Balakrishna, Sheeba Joseph and Rema Jayaram (Directors) with the aim of purposeful education celebrating the potential of each individual child.
