Earlier, Singer cum anchor Rimi Tomy was questioned by the police. It is reported that Rimi Tomy is a close friend of Dileep and his wife Kavya Madhavan. She was under scanner after the attack on the actress.
Actress Kavya Madhavan, wife of arrested Malayalam actor Dileep was also questioned in connection with the abduction case. The questioning of Kavya Madhavan comes in the wake of allegations that prime accused Pulsar Suni had handed over the mobile phone, in which the crime was recorded, and a memory card to someone associated with the actor.
Dileep, who was arrested in connection with the case on July 10, has been charged under various sections of the IPC, including one for hatching a criminal conspiracy for abduction and assault of the actress in a moving car on February 17.
The remand of actor Dileep was extended till August 8 by the Angamaly court. The court said that there was prima facie evidence of the actors involvement in the case. The accused was a prominent actor and could influence the witnesses if left out on bail.
