

KOCHI:
ASG Vasan Eye Hospital, in collaboration with Kochi Municipal Corporation and Adi Group, Optometry Department, Medical Trust Institute of Medical Sciences organized an eye exhibition and walkathon as part of their World Sight Day celebrations on 10th and 11th of this month. The event, which aimed to raise awareness about eye health and various eye conditions, was inaugurated by T. K. Ashraf, Health Standing Committee Chairman of the Kochi Municipal Corporation.
The eye exhibition featured six informative counters showcasing various aspects of eye health, including detailed eye models, eye anatomy, and the specialties of cornea, glaucoma, retina, and cataract. Each stall highlighted common eye diseases and their respective treatments. A special counter was focused on the ESSILOR lens and Mayo glass technology. Following the exhibition an awareness class was also held to further educate the public on eye care. Nearly 400 people participated including students from SH HS Thevara, ADI Institute, IBIS Academy.
The walkathon was held starting from the Adi Institute at Pallimukku and concluding at ASG Vasan Eye Hospital.
