THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
In the wake of the recent floods witnessed by Kerala, employees of AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited (AstraZeneca India), leading global innovation-driven biopharmaceutical organisation, have pledged their support by voluntarily raising Rs. 10 lakhs for Kerala relief funds. Manik Kaul, Business Head – Diabetes, AstraZeneca India handed over cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund on behalf of all AstraZeneca India employees to Rajeev Sadanandan, Kerala Heath Secretary, at the District Medical Officers Annual Conference 2018 held in Thiruvananthapuram today.
Speaking about the contribution, Smita Saha – Vice President HR, AstraZeneca India said, “As an organisation that is committed to helping the communities that are impacted by natural disasters, we are much grateful to each one of our employees for helping us make this meaningful contribution to the impacted communities and colleagues. With this step, our team is hoping to provide some relief to those who have lost almost everything in the past month.”
This conference was also graced by Keshavendra Kumar, Director NHM and other Government officials including District Medical officers (Pan Kerala).
