Thiruvananthapuram: The court ordered the man to be hanged and his lover to undergo double life term in the Attingal double – murder case.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 50 lakhs each on the prime accused Nino Mathew and the second accused Anushanthi for the heinous crime they committed.
Nino Mathew, an IT professional at Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, and Anushanthi, his colleague planned and executed the murder of Anushanthi’s three and a half year old daughter and her mother-in-law on 2014 April 16. Though the duo had planned to Kill Anushanthi’s husband Lijeesh too, he escaped with serious injuries.
Nino and Anu had wanted to live together and hence wanted to eliminate the three victims.
Nino, a married man with a wife and a kid, enterd Anushanthi’s house and exeucuted the murder with the help of the detailed images she had forwarded to him through whatsapp.
The court condemned the inhuman attitude of Anushanthi towards her little daughter.
