KOCHI:
Celltric Energy, an EV charging infrastructure provider from Kochi, in collaboration with Vythiri Village Resort has installed the 1st private EV charging facility in Wayanad, Kerala.
The partnership is envisioned to boost the tourism sector in the region. This is just dawn, as many hotels and resorts across tourist destinations are planning to provide EV Charging facilities to attract electric vehicle owners.
“This initiative is to promote E-mobility in the tourism sector as it attracts a whole new segment of customers, i.e EV Owners. Currently, EV owners are very sceptical about travelling to hill stations such as Wayanad and Munnar in Kerala. This is because of the lack of EV Charging infrastructure in and around the region. In the coming months, we expect many online portals such as Tripadvisor, MakeMyTrip, and Goibibo to enable EV charging facility as a filter while selecting hotels and resorts in the desired locations.” Says Vignesh Nagaraj, Director of Marketing, Celltric Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd.
