THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The world is changing and we are in a mode of learning on a daily basis. In a changing world many of the jobs existing today won’t be there 25 years from now. That means you have to keep yourself ahead of ‘what is going on’, said Anthony Thomas (Tony), Group CIO, GE Global.
Anthony Thomas was delivering the Convocation address at the Ninth Annual Convocation of the Asian School of Business (ASB), Trivandrum on Saturday, the 22nd April in the institute premises at Pallipuram
Anthony Thomas mentioned about the changing trends in technology. A technology or process which is being carried out today may not exist in the near future. A course which the student undergo may not be even relevant on completion on that course, that is the pace at which the technology changes. Hence the students need to be well equipped with the qualification and competence to face the ever changing trend in technology. He even mentioned how 3D printing technology is on the hype now. He even mentioned that many of the engine parts of a Boeing 737 aircraft is 3D printed. People have never thought of it or even have d
reamt about this technology some 25 years back.
The event was presided over by George M. Thomas, the Chairman of the ASB Governing Board who delivered the presidential address and awarded the diplomas. The institute Director, Dr. Aby K. Abraham presented the Director’s Report on the occasion; Isaac Varghese, Director, MDP and Consulting, Rajagiri Business School was also present during the occasion. The event was the culmination of a fruitful 2 year journey for the students of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

It was a moment of celebration and happiness for all. Academic excellence certificates were awarded to the meritorious students who exhibited remarkable performance during the 2 year programme. The
