

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Cosmopolitan Hospital organized the Patient Safety Awareness Week Walkathon 2025 on Friday, March 14, to promote awareness about patient safety. Around 350 hospital staff members participated in the walk, which began at 7 AM from Cosmopolitan Hospital, proceeded to the Medical College TRIDA Complex, and returned.
The walkathon was inaugurated by Ashok P. Menon, CEO of Cosmopolitan Hospital, along with Dr. Abraham Thomas, COO; Dr. Sreekumar Ramachandran, Medical Superintendent; and Dr. Madhu, Additional Medical Superintendent.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok P. Menon emphasized the significance of patient safety in healthcare. “This walkathon serves as a reminder to our staff that patient safety remains our top priority. While we diligently follow safety protocols, engaging in a physical activity like this helps reinforce its importance in a more impactful way,” he said.
The event highlighted the hospital’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and fostering a culture of awareness among healthcare professionals.
