The inaugural General Body Meeting of the Department of Ship Technology Alumni is scheduled to be held at 11am on 28th October 2017 at the Department of Ship Technology.
The Department of Ship Technology is one of the pioneers in the field of Naval Architecture education in the country and was established in 1975. The B.Tech programme in Naval Architecture and Ship building commenced in
1975 has produced many distinguished Alumni which includes local luminaries such as Eliyas George, MD,KMRL, Madhu S. Nair, Chairman and Managing Director, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Dr. (Prof.) K.P Narayanan, Adjunct Professor, Department of Ship Technology and Sunny Thomas, Director(Technical), Cochin Shipyard Limited. In order to channelise this wide resource of knowledge and streamline the alumni activities, Department of Ship Technology Alumni Society(DOSTAS) has been made into a registered society as prescribed and encouraged by
Cusat Guidelines.
The Alumni Society has been registered under the Travancore- Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955.
