KOCHI:
The School of Legal Studies (SLS), Cochin University of Science and Technology is ready to launch the ‘Tele Legal Aid Clinic’ initiative to provide legal advice to the public, bringing the latest facilities of information technology to the masses. CUSAT’s is the state’s first tele-legal aid clinic to operate on a virtual interactive platform.
This facility, which is convenient for the public, is being developed in collaboration with the Ernakulam District Legal Services Authority. Those in and out of the state can make video calls to the Legal Aid Clinic at a specified time. The technology for the Tele Legal Aid Clinic was donated by the School of Legal Studies Alumni Association.
The facility is ready and the clinic will be operational soon, informed Dr. A. Vani Kesari, Director, SLS.
