  • DGP Loknath Behera to Kick off HLL’s MOODS Cup Football Tournament

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    HLL Lifecare Limited (HLL) will kick off its Golden Jubilee celebrations by introducing a new football tournament, MOODS Cup, which gets underway here on August 10.
    The event will be formally inaugurated by State Police Chief  Lokanath Behera at 5 pm at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, where HLL Chairman and Managing Director R P Khandelwal will unveil thfootballe inaugural MOODS Cup while Thiruvananthapuram IG Shri Manoj Abraham will do the Lotto Group selection.
    “As a healthcare delivery company, HLL has decided to launch MOODS Cup to promote the sport and the brand. Our aim is to improve the quality of professional football in the Indian subcontinent and keep the nation healthier,” Shri Khandelwal said. “It will help identify new talents in India, including from amongst the HLL employees, and promote them at the national level by providing the necessary infrastructure.”
    This HLL All Kerala Inter Unit Football Tournament Season 1 will be played between the units of HLL, Peroorkada Factory, Corporate Head Office, Akkulam Factory, Kochi Factory and Irapuram Factory on August 12, 13 and 14.
    HLL Directors Dr Babu Thomas and E A Subramanian will distribute the team jerseys.
    “The spirit of football infuses the spirit and values of team building and will be helpful in developing a new culture among the members,” the HLL CMD noted.
    The tournament also aims at developing a new culture based on the values of building a team, forging  relationships with the sports fraternity and working in close coordination with various associations for the promotion of sports.
    HLL, a Government of India enterprise under the Central Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has been in the forefront in promoting arts, culture and sports in the industrial community, targeting the overall health and wellbeing of Indian public. The company’s inter-industrial Sargasangamam regularly conducts drama competitions to promote the talents of the industrial worker.
