Dr Sunil Nellayi Selected for Dr Suvarna Nalapat Trust Puraskaram

Dr Sunil Nellayi has been selected for this year’s Dr Suvarna Nalapat Trust Puraskaram for his meritorious contributions to the field of Indian Classical Dance.
Besides popularizing Indian classical dance form and Indian culture, he is also teaching the value of dance in fitness and health . Dance incorporates music, rhythms, Abhinaya and body movements (karana and mudra). Therapeutic value of this aesthetic combination is wellknown.
Dr .Suvarna Nalapat Trust for Education and Research is formulated for Research in Healthcare and Education and for Integration of Arts and sciences with a goal of valuebased lifestyle to be inculcated among the youth. This Puraskaram is given for Dr Sunil Nellayi’s efforts to heal society with an aesthetic touch through performing arts.
The Puraskaram will be given on May 1. 2017, on the 5th Annual day of the Trust and the 71st birthday of the Founder President, and Sankarajayanthi celebrations, at Guruvayur.
