PANJIM:
The FC Goa Soccer Schools programme organized by FC Goa, in association with the Forca Goa Foundation will kick off today, 20th April 2018. The programme will run from across two venues in Goa – Sangolda Panchayat Ground in Sangolda, North Goa and the Raia Panchayat Ground in Raia, South Goa. People who wish to register their children for the month-long event can do so at either venue with a few spots still up for grabs. On the spot registration will be available on first come, first serve basis for children between the ages of 8 and 14.
Derrick Pereira, FC Goa’s Head of Youth Development has formulated a unique coaching plan which looks at developing the technical abilities of children interested in taking up the sport. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with various members of the FC Goa first team squad through the month-long event.
Children will be divided into three different age categories – U10, U12 and U14. Training for the U10 category will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday of every week between 7:00 am to 8:00 am. The U12 category will have training on the same days between 8:30 am to 9:30 am while the U14 category will have to report for training every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 7:30 am and 9:00 am. The programme is priced at INR 3999, inclusive of taxes.
