

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
The 45th General Council Meeting of the Federation of LIC Class I Officers’ Associations will be held at at RDR Convention Hall, Thiruvananthapuram, on 24th and 25th February 2020.
Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the the General Council Meeting on February 24. Oscar Fernandez, MP and Chairman of the Federation will preside over the function. N.K. Premachandran, MP, will deliver the Keynote address and O. Rajagopal, MLA, will release the Souvenir.
About 450 – 500 members representing 24,000 officers from 113 Divisions of LIC of India across the country will participate as delegates or observers in the two-day session. K. Kadiresan, Zonal Manager, LIC of India, Southern Zonal Office, Chennai, and Deepa Sivadasan, Senior Divisional Manager, LIC of India, Thiruvananthapuram, will grace the occasion. All India leaders of National Federation of Insurance Field Workers of India (NFIFWI) and All India Insurance Employees Association (AIIEA) also will attend the function.
The GC Meeting spread over two days will discuss general issues concerning the Organisation as well as specific matters pertaining to its Officers. The new Office bearers for the next tenure will be elected. In the evenings of both days, there will be cultural programmes.
The venue is named “Rajagopal Nagar” in respectful memory of one of the stalwart founder leaders of the Federation, Shri. Rajagopal who passed away last year.
The Press Meet is attended by All India General Secretary S. Rajkumar, Southern Zonal President A.J. Krishnamoorthy, Divisional President Ajith Prabhakar, and Divisional Secretary Geetha Sivasankara.
