KOCHI:
The brutal assassination of prominent Journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh, has ignited a major hue and cry all over the country, all pointing their fingers towards BJP and RSS. She being the advocate of democracy and secularism strongly fought for individual’s right to freedom of speech, expression and basic human rights, which were often hampered under the fascist rule of BJP.
Her assassination was a major shock to the country and many forms of protests and outcries has broken out from media personnel’s, political parties and even the common man, through social media and public platforms. Among that a facebook frame titled ‘Then You Have To Shoot Me Now’ is being widely used by the Indians round the globe, to show their support towards the deceased Journalist.
The frame was been created by a Keralite Journalist named Aravind V to announce his solidarity to Gauri Lankesh who was been silenced due to her strong words and actions against fascist rule. He created the facebook frame and he changed is profile picture using it. His friends and colleagues who got struck by the strong words changed their’s too and the frame got viral.
Gauri Lankesh, has always been a strong critic of BJP and RSS due to it’s religious agenda like beef ban by which they made it difficult for the minor community to find their daily bread as cow slaughter has been the source of major income for minorities especially Muslims of North India. She always loved Kerala and Keralites due to our secularism. Her last words written on her facebook wall too underlined the same, in which she asked Malayalis to keep the spirit of secularism and added that someone should get her good beef dish when she comes to Kerala, and the wish left unfulfilled..
Now, as per the reports, the facebook frame created by Aravind is being circulating all over India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. This has been one of the most used facebook frames to mark protest on her assassination and announce one’s support to her views and words among the Indians.
