DUBAI:
Global Pravasi Association has requested Union Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Poori to provide approval for Charter flights of UAE National Airlines to repatriate the Indian community.
Association chairman Salam Pappinisseri sent a letter to the Minister to take urgent and appropriate steps to grant permission to the Airlines like Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Etihad along with Indian Carriers. The Indians in UAE are waiting to get their repatriation as soon as possible due to imminent reasons.
He pointed out that the recently started Vande Bharat Mission flights are a consolation, but it is very insufficient to fly the large number of desperate people. The Airlines like Sharjah based Air Arabia are operating their flights to India for many years keeping their schedule and safety measures and also charging reasonable amount.
“It is learnt that Air Arabia is ready to fly low cost flights to India. If our government grant permission to these Airlines to operate special flights now, it will be helpful to thousands of people who have registered in the Indian mission and awaiting their chance to fly”. Salam Pappinisseri said.
He requested to consider the matter urgently to repatriate the stranded Indian people from UAE.
