  • Hyper Automation Should be Implemented in the Health Sector: FICCI Webinar

By NE Reporter on June 18, 2021

    KOCHI:
Health experts have called for the implementation of hyper-automation in the healthcare sector to combat epidemics and manage people’s health data efficiently. They were participating in a webinar on ‘Forecast and Administration of Covid Vaccines, Hyper Automation, Clinical Tests and Diagnostics’ organized by FICCI Kerala State Council.

KSIDC Managing Director M.G. Rajamanikyam delivered the keynote address. He said that the epidemic opened up not only challenges but also many opportunities. Various research are being done all over the world. Ensuring the availability of the vaccine in advance is a major challenge for developing countries. It is an achievement of Kerala that it has been able to reduce the death rate following the Covid epidemic. Utilizing hyper automation to manage people’s health data can be very beneficial for states like ours, he added. Investors who bring technology and ideas to the healthcare sector should be accepted and encouraged. The government should take the initiative for this. Rajamanikyam said the Life Science Park, Techno Park and private medical research centers have a big role to play in vaccine development.

“Vaccination is the only effective way to prevent Covid,” said IMA State President Dr. P.T. Zacharias. But the reality is that there are still shortcomings in vaccination. He said the number of vaccinations should be increased to prevent the spread of the genetically modified virus. The spread can be controlled by increasing testing and vaccination. He said the vaccine had saved the lives of many senior citizens because it had been received in a timely manner.

FICCI Kerala State Council Head, Savio Mathew delivered the introductory speech. The business session was moderated by Bibu Punnooran, Co-Chair, FICCI Healthcare Committee. Prof. Gautam Menon, Professor of Physics & Biology, Ashoka University, Dr.A. Rajalakshmi, Senior Consultant, Department of Infectious Diseases, KIMS Health Ltd., Dr. R. Pant Institute of Postgraduate, U.K Anantha Padmanabhan, member, advisory Board, MGM Healthcare Chennai also spoke.
