  • IIITM-K students Grab Internship, Placement Offers from Big Cos

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    Students pursuing MSc in Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Kerala (IIITM-K) have lapped up a record number of offers from top companies during the campus selection drive for internships and placements.
    They will be getting a monthly stipend of upto Rs 30,000, depending on the location of placement like Trivandrum, Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. Their average expected Cost to Company (CTC) range is from Rs 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs plus. Students specializing in Data Analytics, Machine Intelligence, Geospatial Analytics and Cyber Security got offers from MNCs, besides companies based in Technopark and Infopark.
    This list of big companies that took on board students from Kerala’s premier institution included TCS, Ernst & Young, Nokia, GE (JWTC), ABB, UST Global, TATA ELXSI.
    The list of employers that turned up for the campus drive included Technopark and Infopark companies namely; Calpine Technologies, Cognicor, Ruby Software, Mozanta Technologies, Socius Innovative Global Brains, Techvantage, COGNUB, Ayruz Data Marketing, CLAP Research, Accubits Technologies, Lennox International and Databeat.io from other locations.
    The IIITM-K students were recruited through stream-based hiring process. The specialist areas include IT / ITES, Machine Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data engineering, Cyber Security, IOT, Cloud, Blockchain, Software Development, Programming, Geospatial Analytics, NLP, AI, Robotic Process Automation, Technology etc.
    M.Phil Computer Science Students (2018) and MSc. (2019) batches have also secured industry internships (six months and three months Summer Internships) during the campus drives.
