Kerala become the capital of lifestyle diseases like diabetes, cardiac as well as cancer related ailments, all of these require lot of biotechnological interventions, said Dr. Suresh Das, Executive Vice President, Kerala State Council for Science and Technology.
Kerala has so much of potential in terms of natural resources and in terms of human resources; we don’t rank well in the area of Biotechnology. So there is lot of need to invest in this very important area, he added. H
