  • Kerala Blasters FC Launches the KBFC Young Blasters Program

    KOCHI:
    Kerala Blasters FC kick starts the ‘KBFC Young Blasters’ program, a Grassroots and Youth development initiative for budding and passionate talents across the state. With an objective to spread the KBFC style of football across Kerala, the Young Blasters program will be completely organized and coordinated by Kerala Blasters FC.

    As torchbearers of football development in Kerala, Technique, Purpose and Joy becomes the three core values that the club upholds through ‘Young Blasters’. A standardised, scientific and procedural form of coaching that paves way to a bright career in football, thereby achieving pure joy from the sport is the key idea behind this initiative.

    Young Blasters will operate on three different segments: KBFC Young Blasters Football Schools. KBFC Young Blasters Affiliated Academy and KBFC Young Blasters Football Centres. In the first two categories, all Technical support including a KBFC certified coach and curriculum will be provided by the club to the partner schools and affiliated academies. Training ready grounds and enrolments will be managed by the schools and academies. KBFC will also be providing special training to the Physical Education teachers as per requirements of the school, through which a larger number of students can be reached. On the other hand, KBFC Young Blasters Football centres will be a high performance area, for which all aspects including the grounds and enrolments will be solely managed by Kerala Blasters FC.

    “As a club, our core philosophy is to have a team that truly represents Kerala. While we are proud to have fielded 6 local players for the 1st time in the ISL this year on the pitch, it is our vision to continue nurturing football in Kerala and contribute to its growth. KBFC Young Blasters will pave the way for many such talents in the future.”, says Nikhil Bhardwaj, Owner, Kerala Blasters FC.

    With a vision to branch out the program to all 14 districts in Kerala, the first of its kind, KBFC Young Blasters Football centre will be launched in Kochi at the Parkway, North Kalamassery on 17th November, 2019. For registrations to the program, parents can contact +91 7025115557. As part of the launch, the training session at Parkway for the first batch will be open to all football enthusiasts. The second centre will be opening soon at Albertian Sports Complex, Kalamassery.

    “We want to provide children with the best quality of football education and an opportunity to learn in a professional football environment. Our structure with schools, academies and centres further allow us to empower the growing football culture of Kerala at various levels”, says Mohamed Rafik, Director of Football, Kerala Blasters FC.
