    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Lifology, a Kerala-based startup in the domain of education, in a significant collaboration with Finland’s University of Helsinki, unveiled “Curriculum 2030”, a futuristic educational framework, here at Technopark today.

This will mark the first-ever collaboration between Finland’s prestigious university and a Kerala-based startup, representing a transformative milestone in education.

Erik af Hällström, Consul General of Finland, unveiled the curriculum by handing it over to Dr. D Sajith Babu, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, in the presence of AA Rahim, MP who launched an exclusive app for Curriculum 2030 at the event.

The event coincided with the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Finland, underscoring their shared vision for a sustainable and innovative future.

Noting that Curriculum 2030 marks an important chapter in educational field between Kerala and Finland, Mr.Hällström said Finland is known for its innovative approach towards learning, encouraging critical thinking and emotional development of students.

“By bringing together Finnish expertise and Kerala’s dynamic educational ecosystem, this initiative will produce generational thinkers and leaders who can conquer an increasingly complex world. The core of this collaboration is our vision for a holistic education with a student-centric approach where learning is personalized and deeply rooted in cooperation,” he added.

Developed under the leadership of Nobel Laureate Sir Richard J. Roberts as Chief Mentor, the project features Dr. Markus Talvio from the University of Helsinki as the Lead Expert. Contributions from global mentors, such as Dr. Brian Hutchison, Allan Gatenby, and Marilyn Maze, have enriched the curriculum. Dr. Talvio expressed optimism about how the curriculum could transform India’s education landscape while strengthening ties between Finland and India.

“Finland’s educational system has adapted to contemporary changes and it places trust in teachers, values creativity, and prioritizes happiness. Kerala’s educational system has long been a beacon of hope and excellence. Now by embracing new technology and new partnerships, Kerala is set to lead India in future of education,” said Rahim who applauded the effort to integrate Finland’s globally renowned education system into a forward-thinking curriculum.

“Collaborating with Finland’s educational vision, we can set a global benchmark for preparing younger generation not only for exams but for life itself,” he added.

Noting that Curriculum 2030 is a vision for futuristic education, he said, “It is designed to prepare our students for future-ready skills, socio-emotional learning, digital literacy and interdisciplinary thinking to prepare students for complexities of tomorrow.”

Praveen Parameswar, CEO of Lifology, said the futuristic curriculum integrates socio-emotional learning, neuroscience, human skills, sustainability, equity, and lifelong learning, while blending these with cutting-edge research and experiential methodologies.

“It will prepare learners to navigate and lead in an increasingly complex world. This one-of-a-kind document will benefit students, educational institutions, academicians, and governments,” he added.
