More than 2,000 delegates will attend Kerala’s largest industry-academia meet,CONFLUENCE 2024, in the city to deliberate one of the important issues shaping the future of the knowledge industry worldwide — the evolving nature of talent, work and the workplace itself.
The day-long conclave on November 6, with ‘Future of Talent’ as its focal theme, is being organized by Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) and the Group of Technology Companies (GTECH), the industry body representing over 250 IT companies in the state.
The other partners to the event, to be held at RSET auditorium in the Kakkanad Campus, are Infopark, SmartCity, Technopark, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), IEEE India Council and Kochi Metro Rail Ltd.
“With the increasing adoption of disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence, corporates, employees and academic institutes will need to transform radically. Businesses will need to grapple with significant workforce transitions, employees will be required to acquire new skills, and institutes of higher learning will have to revamp its functioning to be contemporary,” said V K Mathews, Chairman, GTECH.
“Given the eminence and experience of the speakers attending, CONFLUENCE 2024 will be an ideal platform to outline some of the critical issues that are shaping this mega trend,” he added.
The delegates will comprise mostly of working professionals, academicians, industry body representatives and students.
The plenary sessions will feature renowned speakers and subject matter experts deliver keynotes and participate in panel discussions. Parallel tracks covering technical workshops, startup expo, funded research project stalls, PhD conclave and research poster exhibition will be conducted all through the day.
“The conclave is a wonderful opportunity for the working professionals and students all over the state to gain insights on the evolving needs of the knowledge industry and to learn first-hand what it takes to stay relevant going forward,” said Fr. Dr.Jaison Mulerikkal CMI, Principal, RSET.
“I am sure the stakeholders will exchange ideas and explore partnership opportunities to make Kerala the talent capital of the country for new-age jobs. RSET is indeed privileged to organize and host an event to discuss a subject that could be the game changer for the youth of the state,” he added.
