THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Software startup Amigosia Private Limited has unveiled the updated version of the all-in-one digital marketplace app for Kudumbashree to facilitate seamless access to its essential services and authentic products more effectively.
The ‘PocketMartapp’ aims to connect communities, services, and products at the grassroots level. The 2.0 version of the app will provide better digital access to services and products of Kudumbashree, hailed as one of the most ambitious projects for women empowerment and poverty eradication.
Registered under Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), Amigosia’s latest version of the app will take the mission of Kudumbashree to a deeper and wider level, fostering sustainable community growth.
Founded in 2022, Amigosia launched the PocketMart app for Kudumbashree in March this year focusing solely on cloud kitchen service through which Kudumbashree members used to deliver food based on the orders made one day in advance.
Currently, the app, which is designed with a mission to empower women and local entrepreneurs, also features around six services, including caretaker, vehicle cleaning and deep cleaning services under the tag ‘Quick Serve’. Besides, around 1,100 Kudumbashree members from across Kerala have showcased their products on the app.
The Palakkad-based startup was recently honoured at a function organized by Kudumbashree State Mission in the presence of Minister for Local Self-Governments and Excise Shri M B Rajesh for its significant contribution towards empowering Kudumbashree members by offering a comprehensive online marketplace through an innovative platform.
On the recognition by Kudumbashree, Arun, Director, Amigosia Pvt Ltd., said, “We are deeply honoured to receive this memento from Kudumbashree. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the PocketMart project, supporting the mission of empowering women entrepreneurs and strengthening local communities.”
Arun said this partnership has been incredibly meaningful for them, and they are looking forward to continuing their journey together, building tools that create lasting impact across Kerala.
The startup’s primary focus is on community empowerment, delivering innovative software solutions tailored to the needs of farmers and small home-based businesses, helping them enhance their sales and market reach.
Amigosia is in partnership with the Kerala State Poverty Eradication Mission, developing software to support critical initiatives such as cloud kitchens, elderly care, and skilled employment programmes, driving positive social impact across various sectors.
KSUM, which was established in 2006 under the Kerala government, works for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
