Air Marshal SRK Nair and K S Sabarinathan MLA were presented with the Loyola Old Boys’ Association (LOBA) Global Leadership Award and Young Achiever Award respectively at a function organized at the Thiruvananthapuram Golf Club.

so honoured at the function. Kerala Jesuits Provincial Superior Fr. Dr. M K George presented the Global Leadership Award to Air Marshal S R K Nair, while the first Young Achiever’s Award was presented to K S Sabarinathan, MLA, by Loyola School Principal Fr. Devassy Paul. LOBA launched its Annual Global Leadership Award (GLA) last year. The award, a first among schools in India, has now entered its second year.
Receiving the Global Leadership Award, Air Marshal SRK Nair said, wherever we are or whatever we become, the feel of camaraderie and networking brings joy to our lives. Such venues where you get to renew friendships and camaraderie have become a must. LOBA, which took shape thanks to the untiring efforts of old boys of Loyola, like Jimmy Antony and Pradeep Kumar, has always been a platfor

K S Sabarinathan, MLA, who received the LOBA Young Achiever’s Award, said the Loyola School has been
instrumental in developing the best qualities in him. Reminiscing his Loyola days, K S Sabarinathan added that thevprinciples that Loyola School imparted have helped in shaping his life. Pointing out that Loyola School had taughtvhim to see all as one and to respect all religions, he added that the School has always taught its students to think secular.
LOBA would provide Rs 10,000 per month each as pension to all retired non-teaching staff of Loyola School from June 2017 onwards, LOBA president C Padmakumar said while delivering the Presidential address. Former students Paul Antony, RaviSankar, Pradeep Kumar, Sunil Samuel Varghese and others were present.
The Loyola Old Boys’ Association (LOBA), the alumni association of the old students of the Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram, has a membership of over 4000 spread across the globe.
