Minister KK Shailaja to Inaugurate The Eye Foundation Kochi Centre

Kochi centre of the leading eye care provider, The Eye Foundation situated near Changampuzha Park Metro Station, Edappally will be officially inaugurated by the state health minister K K Shailaja Teacher on March 4th at 11 am.
T.V Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global Education services and SEBI primary market advisory committee, Prof. K.V. Thomas MP, P.T Thomas MLA, Dr. D. Ramamurthy, chairman of The Eye Foundation, Dr. Chitra Ramamurthy, Medical Director, Dr. R. Gopal, Medical superintendent, P. Rajeev, Eranakulam District secretary of CPM, A.N. Radhakrishnan, state general secretary of BJP and Vijayakumar, ward counselor, will attend the inaugural ceremony.
The 8th signature centre of The Eye Foundation started operation at Kochi on February 4th with all the world class facilities. Spread over 45,000 sqft, the centre has 4 operation theatre, 15 Consultation rooms, 18 Optometry Lanes, 10 Investigation rooms, state of the art Optical outlet, Drug store, VIP lounge, Executive In-patient rooms and Day care units. The core services available at The Eye Foundation, Kochi centre includes the very latest in cataract surgery i.e. Laser Refractive Cataract Surgery and the entire range of intra ocular lenses; latest surgical options and procedures in refractive error correction surgery with the “Latest Femtosecond Laser Refractive Suite” which is the fastest available system for bladeless refractive surgery the world over, management & surgery for vitreo-retinal diseases using advanced constellation vitrectomy system; specialized glaucoma care; pediatric ophthalmology including squint clinics; oculoplasty; cornea and eye bank services; optometry & comprehensive optical services and computer vision clinic would be a part of the facilities available . “It will be possible for the smaller clinics to access this signature centre for specialized treatments”, said Dr. D.
