  • Rajagiri Confluence 2024 Inaugurated by Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi

    KOCHI:
    The largest industrial education conference in the state, Confluence 2024, was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Tourism, Suresh Gopi, at the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) in Kochi.

    The event, chaired by FR Benny Nalkara, included several notable dignitaries, ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath, IBS Software Executive Chairman V.K. Mathews, KMRL Managing Director Loknath Behera, Infopark CEO Sushant Kurunthil, Chief General Manager and State Head of Indian Oil Corporation Geetika Verma, India’s “Missile Woman” Dr. Tessy Thomas, RSET Director Fr Dr. Jose Kuriedath, IEEE Kerala Section Chairman Professor Mohammed Kasim, RSET Principal Fr Dr. Jaison Paul Mulerikkal NEST Group Executive Director and CEO Nasneen Jahangir, EY Global Delivery Services Kochi Center Head Binoy Raj, Steag Energy Services Chairman and Director Dr. Jacob T. Varghese, BPCL PR Admin Tom Joseph, Cognizant Kochi Head Saritha P.A., IBM Kochi Executive Director Vinod Khader, film music director Jakes Bejoy, MathWorks Senior Account Manager Janardhan Mandal, Confluence Coordinator Dr. Hari C.V., IIC Chair Dr. Sangeetha Jamal, and RSET Student Council Chairperson Alna Khaleel, among others.

    Suresh Gopi stated that the event highlights the necessity of building a strong educational foundation to empower new industries worldwide in fields such as artificial intelligence, automation, and quantum computing, under the theme “Future of Talents.” Organized jointly by Rajagiri and IBS Software, Confluence included talks by V.K. Mathews, Loknath Behera IPS, Mohammed Kasim, Rev. Father Benny Nalkara CMI, and Rev. Father Dr. Jose Kuriedath CMI. Following Confluence, the 11th International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications will be held on November 7th and 8th at Rajagiri Engineering College.
