  • RSET signs MOU with ATWIC Research & Development Pvt. Ltd

By NE Reporter on May 5, 2017

    KOCHI:
RSET has signed an Mou with ATWIC Research & Development Pvt. Ltd, who focus on R&D in electronics and instrumentation and work jointly with premier R& D organizations like DRDO, ISRO etc. Through this, the students and faculty of RSET will get an opportunity to collaborate with them on areas such as Sensing, Telemetry, Storage, Signal Processing, Control and Power applications. Fr Jose Alex CMI, Director, RSET and Sivan P V, IMG_1148 - CopyManaging Director, ATWIC signed the MOU at the occasion.
“Students are usually passionate to work in the core areas during their initial semesters. But in general they are unaware of the potential and opportunities of core technologies, due to which they show an inclination for software jobs. We are ready to open up the opportunities of electronics and instrumentation for the future generations.” said Rahul Sivan, Director, ATWIC.
There are plenty of long term opportunities for core industries. But core companies intake is low and is more competitive to get in, as compared to IT companies..  We want our students to be well equipped by the time they reach final year, said Fr Jose Alex CMI, Director, RSET.
As per the understanding, ATWIC will open their R&D lab at RSET Incubation Centre and will start activities from June 2017 onwards. They will provide opportunities for students of different departments and will guide and mentor students working on core projects. Selected candidates
will also get hands on experience on live R& D projects. Dr. A Unnikrishnan RSET Principal, Dr. John M George, RSET Dean & Vice Principal, Rijin John, Rajagiri Incubation Centre COO were also
    present.
