The Deparment of Applied Economics, Cusat and EMS Study and Research Centre jointly organize two day national seminar on 150 th year of publication of ‘Das Kapital’ by Karl Marx.The seminar will be inaugurated by M.A. Baby, Former Minister for Education at 10 a.m.1 on Saturday 6th May at Seminar Complex. P. Rajeev, former M.P will preside. Cusat Vice Chancellor Dr.J. Letha will deliver
introductory address.
Dr. T. M. Thomas Issac (State Finance Minister), Dr. T. Jayaraman (TISS, Mumbai), Dr. R. Ramkumar (TISS, Mumbai) will deliver lectures on various aspects like Introduction, Dialectics, Village and Peasant Economy of ‘Das Kapital’. Sitaram Yechury, Gen. Secretary, CPM will inaugurate the valedictory session at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday 7th and Dr. V.K Ramachandran, Vice Chairman, State Planning Board will preside.
Dr. Venkatesh Athreya (Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development), Dr. Surajith Mazumdar (JNU) will speak and about 700 registered delegates will attend the sesquicentennial celebration,
