  • Shriram Automall Salem Conducts Best Inauguration Day

    Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL), India’s largest Physical & Online Platform for transactions of used vehicles & equipment has inaugurated its 74th Automall facility in Salem with an aim to serve growing used vehicles and equipment in the city and nearby areas.
    Strategically located on NH-47, Coimbatore to Salem road, Shriram Automall (Salem) is the 7th facility in the Tamil Nadu Zone, 30th in the South Zone and in line with the aggressive expansion plan of the company.
    Sprawling across 8 acres of land, Automall has been constructed on the ground of fairness and transparency to bring buyers & sellers together at one platform to enter into transactions. The grand inauguration event of Salem was followed by SAMILs time trusted physical bidding event where company displayed over 380+ vehicles and equipment, out which over 200 vehicles & equipment were successfully disposed by the end of the day. Shriram Automall in association with STFC also distributed 50+ Scholarship cheques to deserving students during the event, and 300+ Plants were distributed to customers as a part of company’s pledge to encourage the greener habitat for all. Customers visiting Salem Automall were also provided with the facility of free medical checkup with tests including General Check up-BP, Diabetics etc.

While bringing a new addition in the already existing 73 Automall facilities in the country, Sameer Malhotra (CEO of Shriram Automall India Limited) inaugurated the Automall in the presence of P. Shridharan, Executive Director & CEO, STFC Tamil Nadu Zone.
    Salem is the sixth largest city of Tamil Nadu and is best known as the textile center of the state and its steel plant. Also, agriculture in the area is considered to be very good, thereby city receives major demand for heavy & medium commercial vehicles (H&LGV) and agriculture equipment as the city serves 125 spinning mills and production of starch at a land over 34,000 hectares. It is located about 160 kilometers north-east of Coimbatore, 186 kilometers southeast of Bangalore and about 340 kilometers southwest of the state capital, Chennai, so potential customers in these areas can also visit the Salem Automall to acquire or dispose used vehicles and equipment on any and every make and model.
    Major demand on the inauguration day was driven by customers residing in Erode, Dharmapuri, Attur, Namakkal & Trichy areas. Customers showed their keen interest in acquiring and disposing used vehicles and equipment through multiple bidding platforms, including Physical Bidding & Online Bidding, Private Treaty and MySAMIL Mobile App offered by the company. It’s the multiple bidding platforms and plethora of customer oriented services that provide SAMIL the leading edge among others.
    The new Automall also houses Shriram OneStop KIOSK – A computerized touch screen kiosk, providing real time information about used commercial vehicles available for sale.
