GOA:
In the wake of the devastation caused by unprecedented rains and floods in Kerala, chefs and students of American College of Culinary and Language Arts (ACCLA) extended their support by baking and packing 8,400 cookies which have been dispatched for delivered and distribution in Kerala.
A total weight of 105.6 kg of cookies were hygienically packed in ziplock pouches and placed in large boxes for easy transport and distribution. ACCLA partnered with the NGO which will deliver and distribute the handmade cookies in Kerala.
While the population in Kerala is still recovering from the devastation, ACCLA as a team saw the need to bring a smile to the people of the region. Food being one of the main stays of the institute, students and faculty members decided to bake cookies, package them and send them across to Kerala as a meaningful gesture and to contribute their skills and efforts to the victims.
