THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
UST Global’s Network of Women Ussociates (NOWU), an internal volunteering team that facilitates the development and executive mentoring of the company’s woman employees, organized its annual culinary festival cum fund raising event Yummy Aid 2017.
UST Global Yummy Aid is an annual festival that aims to bring together all the employees to raise funds for various CSR activities. This year, the festival has raised close to Rs. 3,00,000, which will be used towards various CSR initiatives for the underprivileged women and education of children. The food festival and culinary contest witnessed participation from 32 teams who cooked and brought lip-smacking food from home and sold them at UST Global’s Campus as well as in the Bhavani office in Technopark. The 32 teams also competed for the ‘Best Stall’ and ‘Best
Signature Dish title. The festival also hosted fun competition for the employees including Best Vegetable and Fruit carving, Best Cup Cake Decoration, amongst others.
The judges for the contest were Ashok Eapen, Executive Chef, Hilton; and the Celebrity Chef Amrith Appaden from the show ‘Dhe Chef’ that aired on Mazhavil Manorama. The judges gave away the prices to the winners, i.e. to Kottaya Curry Chatti and Oru Nadan Relaxation, for the ‘Best Stall’ and to Meen Pollichathu (Stall name: Eriyum puliyum), Andhra Chicken Dum Biriyani (Stall name: Vazha Ila) for the ‘Best Signature Dish’.
Over 5,000 employees participated from across the offices at Thiruvanathapuram.
